Pahat
A storefront for a Pune roaster where the pouch reprints its own label as you choose: the coffee, the grind, the size and the morning it was roasted.
A studio concept: a fictional product we designed and built to show how we work. Not a client project.

Fresh coffee is a date, not an adjective.
Pahat (पहाट on every pouch) is a roaster we invented in Mundhwa, Pune. It roasts single-estate coffee from Chikmagalur, Araku and Coorg from 4:30 every morning, and promises it at your door in Pune within 48 hours.
Most coffee sites show the same flat bag photo whatever you pick. Pahat's pouch is drawn by the page, so when you choose South Indian filter and 500 g, the sticker on the bag changes to say so, and the roast stamp shows the batch and the morning it left the drum.
We designed the brand, the packaging system and the storefront, and built it as a working prototype with a real-time 3D pouch. The roastery, the coffees and the prices are fictional.
- 01
Make freshness visible: the roast date, the batch, the morning.
- 02
Show the exact bag you are buying, not a stock photo of a different one.
- 03
Give each coffee its own dawn, from one family of colours.
- 04
Make a subscription easy to size and easy to pause.
Choose a coffee, and the pouch reprints.
The prototype's own label printer, running here: the same code that textures the 3D pouch paints this one. Pick one of six coffees, a grind and a size, and the label is redrawn with the right name, sticker, weight and roast stamp. Flip it for the brew guide and roast log on the back.

In the prototype the pouch is a lit 3D model that travels from the hero to the product as you scroll and leans toward the pointer. This page shows the same printed label flat, so it loads instantly.

A label the page prints
The sunrise, the Devanagari name, the origin line and the roast stamp are all drawn live, so every bag on screen is the bag in the box.

Pick filter, the sticker says filter
Grind and size rewrite the sticker on the pouch as you choose. The hint under Grind tells you what each one is for.

Your coffee's morning
The bag shows when your coffee will be roasted, cupped and delivered, then suggests one more thing. Checkout is one button.
Every batch on the record, every plan sized to the cup.
Two more pieces from the storefront. The roast curve for batch 0418, drawn from the roaster's log, and the Pahat Club planner that turns cups a day into a bag size. Change the cadence or the cups.
The Pahat Club
Fresh coffee, on your rhythm.
A Pune dawn, from plum to saffron.
