Points should feel like an invitation, not a catalogue.

Mulavan is a riverhouse hotel in Koregaon Park, on the Mula. Its members collect Circle points on stays and dinners, and most loyalty apps would show those points as a number beside a list of vouchers.

We wanted the balance to read as a set of mornings and evenings you could actually have: a Misal Masterclass with Chef Rohini Deshmukh, a Puran Poli and Modak Morning in the courtyard, a Sinhagad sunrise with a naturalist, a Monsoon Tasting Menu by the river window.

Ananya, a Kesar member with 1,86,450 points, opens the app on a Thursday evening. Four taps and one hold later she has a seat at Counter 3 for Sunday at 7:30 AM, and a pass in her pocket. We designed the brand, the app and the flow, and built it as a working prototype.

What it had to do

    Sell the experience first: the photograph, the host and the hour, before any price.

  2. 02

    Make scarcity honest: real seats as dots, and a date that is full says so.

  3. 03

    Let members pay their way: points, points and card, or card and UPI.

  4. 04

    Never spend 24,000 points on a stray tap.
